And Then What Happens?

When we think of situations in our life, we think of the beginning, the middle, and the end. And we present our personal experiences in that way. But there really is no true end - because there is always something that comes next. We can use the power of the question, "And then what happens?" to help ourselves move through difficult situations, get out of feeling stuck, and relieve the pressure of the current moment so we can move forward.

Saying No

There is no perfect way to say no.

Yet sometimes we can get so caught in looking for just the right words, that we never actually say no.

In this video, we'll discuss why it can be difficult to say no, ways to phrase it, how to approach declining something, and the consequence of lying. You'll learn what to do instead and get some options for different ways you can say no moving forward - Ways that feel good to you and get your message across.

The idea for this video was directly sparked by Austin Kleon's book, Keep Going (https://austinkleon.com/keepgoing/).

It Doesn't Matter, But It Is Important

What we do and what happens doesn't matter the way we often think it does. But those things are important.

When we can free ourselves from letting everything matter, it allows us to gain from each experience and grow forward, without the heaviness or absoluteness that can sometimes make us feel trapped.

Because when we let things not matter, we can still gain from the importance of each event. This video explains.

Thank you to Mike Dooley, as the concept in this video comes directly from Mike Dooley's teachings. You can learn more about Mike Dooley here - https://www.tut.com/About/mikedooley. (I also highly recommend his book, Playing the Matrix).

Moving Through Negative Emotions

When we have an emotion that feels awful, we tend to want to feel better immediately.

Sometimes this results in us trying to force positivity. We try to talk ourselves into feeling better instead of feeling what we feel.

But there is another way. We can use our emotions to feel our way forward. To learn about ourselves. To understand what's going on in our experience, what we're wanting, and what we believe. We can only gain this if we let ourselves experience our emotion without trying to skip over it.

In this video, we explore how to use negative emotions as signals to learn about ourselves and move through them - no need to be concerned about getting stuck in the emotion. We can use the emotion, feel the emotion, and move through the emotion.

Indirect Ways Our Soul Speaks to Us

Our soul is there, always, listening to us, speaking to us, responding to us. Sometimes we just don't hear it. Not because we can't, but because we aren't listening or realizing when it's speaking to us.

In this video, I talk about the indirect ways our soul communicates. I offer a personal example, and share other options as well to help you identify how your soul may already be talking with you. This will help you hear it.
